The Brief

EastTech, a technology solutions company, needed its company profile site to stop looking like a 2015 template. The hero section was the priority: it had to communicate credibility within the first five seconds and funnel visitors toward a consultation request.

Design Direction

I explored three visual directions and converged on a bold, engineering-inspired aesthetic:

  • Strong typographic statement — oversized headline with a single serif italic accent word for personality
  • Product-forward imagery — real team and hardware photography instead of generic stock
  • Single primary CTA — one green action button; everything else is secondary
  • Subtle motion — a gentle fade-and-rise entrance that respects prefers-reduced-motion

Process

Starting from a moodboard and competitive teardown of five similar B2B sites, I sketched low-fidelity layouts focusing on the fold. The winning concept was validated with a quick first-click test before investing in pixel-level polish in Figma.

Handoff

The final delivery included responsive breakpoints down to 360px, an annotated spec sheet for spacing and type scale, and export-ready assets — so the development team could build it without guesswork.

Takeaway — For B2B hero sections, the biggest trust signal is restraint. One bold headline, one clear CTA, and breathing room around both beats three rows of value props every time.
